The divorce adjustment process requires that two people move from the system of marriage  to two separate lives. By working with a professional mediator the couple become future focused and accomplish necessary tasks cooperatively, thus reducing the pain and turbulence experienced by the family during the dissolution.  Couples who negotiate their own agreements feel empowered to move forward with their lives, keep their children’s interests in the forefront and adjust more quickly to the newly restructured family.

NON-ADVERSARIAL:

The parties work together in a collaborative way in order to assure a fair agreement that meets the needs of each party and their children.

NON-JUDGMENTAL:

The mediator does not judge the parties, nor their joint decisions.  We assume the parties to be the best source of appropriate solutions to their unique problems.

PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL:

Mediators share information only with the consent of the parties.  We are not advocates for either party and we do not divulge our communications  in the event of litigation.

LESS EXPENSIVE:

By working together with a single facilitator, the dual expense of lawyer-advocates is eliminated.  The emotional strain and cost upon the family is greatly reduced.

FASTER:

No waiting for a far-off Court docket. Settlements are often reached within weeks.
